H.R. No. 2479

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, May 5, 2007, was indeed a special day for Timur Tsend and Laura DeLeon, for on that day they exchanged their wedding vows in Pasadena and embarked on a new life together as husband and wife; and

WHEREAS, The son of Tsend and Martha Nyam, Timur Tsend was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; he completed the vocational nursing program at San Jacinto College, and he also earned his associate's degree in business from that institution in 2004; the following year, he received his associate's degree in nursing from Excelsior College; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of Wilber and Clarivel DeLeon, Laura DeLeon was born in Guatemala; she attended San Jacinto College and has studied at Texas Woman's University since 2006; and

WHEREAS, Family and friends gathered to celebrate the joyous union of Timur Tsend and Laura DeLeon in Pasadena at the home of the Tarkingtons, the family who first hosted Mr. Tsend as an international student; and

WHEREAS, The marriage of Mr. Tsend and Ms. DeLeon signals their commitment to a relationship that has grown in love, respect, and mutual regard with each passing day, and it is truly a pleasure to honor this fortunate couple on their union; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Timur Tsend and Laura DeLeon on the joyous occasion of their wedding and extend to them warmest best wishes for great happiness together; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
