R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The death of U.S. Army Colonel Jack Cozby, Jr., of
  Dallas on March 29, 2007, has deeply saddened his family and many
  friends; and
         WHEREAS, "Jay" Cozby attended Woodrow Wilson High School in
  Dallas, where he was a member of the National Honor Society; after
  graduating in 1974, he went on to attend The University of Texas at
  Arlington and Baylor College of Dentistry; and
         WHEREAS, In 1987, he joined the U.S. Army, and during his
  20-year tenure in the military he rose through the ranks to become a
  colonel and dental commander at Fort Lee, Virginia; and
         WHEREAS, Colonel Cozby brought great joy into the hearts of
  countless people throughout his lifetime; blessed with a close-knit
  family, he took immense pride in his young sons, with whom he shared
  his love and guidance; and
         WHEREAS, While it is always too soon to say goodbye to a loved
  one, Jay Cozby leaves behind a legacy to treasure for those who held
  him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Colonel Jack
  Cozby, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Haesuk Kim; to his children, Andrew and Joshua;
  to his parents, Jack and Billie Cozby; to his sisters, Anita Mobley
  and Pam Cozby; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Colonel
  Jack Cozby, Jr.
