R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The death of U.S. Army Colonel Jack Cozby, Jr., of |
|
Dallas on March 29, 2007, has deeply saddened his family and many |
|
friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, "Jay" Cozby attended Woodrow Wilson High School in |
|
Dallas, where he was a member of the National Honor Society; after |
|
graduating in 1974, he went on to attend The University of Texas at |
|
Arlington and Baylor College of Dentistry; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 1987, he joined the U.S. Army, and during his |
|
20-year tenure in the military he rose through the ranks to become a |
|
colonel and dental commander at Fort Lee, Virginia; and |
|
WHEREAS, Colonel Cozby brought great joy into the hearts of |
|
countless people throughout his lifetime; blessed with a close-knit |
|
family, he took immense pride in his young sons, with whom he shared |
|
his love and guidance; and |
|
WHEREAS, While it is always too soon to say goodbye to a loved |
|
one, Jay Cozby leaves behind a legacy to treasure for those who held |
|
him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Colonel Jack |
|
Cozby, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his |
|
family: to his wife, Haesuk Kim; to his children, Andrew and Joshua; |
|
to his parents, Jack and Billie Cozby; to his sisters, Anita Mobley |
|
and Pam Cozby; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Colonel |
|
Jack Cozby, Jr. |
