R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the
  passing of Icidro R. Flores of Sinton on March 6, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Flores worked for many years as a troquero,
  driving laborers throughout the state to pick cotton, and later
  served as a machine operator with H&K Construction Company for more
  than three decades; and
         WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Apa," he enjoyed 67 years
  of marriage with his wife, Luz G. Flores, and he was the proud
  father of five sons and three daughters; over the years, their
  family grew to include three additional generations; and
         WHEREAS, A man of deep faith and a devoted member of Our Lady
  of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Icidro Flores was respected and
  admired by all who knew him for his diligence, kindness, and
  integrity, and those fortunate enough to have shared in the
  blessing of his life will long cherish their memories of time spent
  in his company; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Icidro R. Flores and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Luz Flores; to his children, Icidro "Chiro" Flores, Jr., and his
  wife, Felipa, Jose Flores and his wife, Juanita, Representative
  Dora Olivo and her husband, Victor, Juanita Gomez, Oscar Flores and
  his wife, Rose, Jesus Flores, David Montalvo and his wife, Bernie,
  and Sylvia Beitzel and her husband, Tim; to his 23 grandchildren, 33
  great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; to his
  brother, Esteban "Guero" Flores; to his sisters, Genoveva Aparicio
  and Cruz Serrano; and to his other relatives and many friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Icidro R.
  Flores.
