R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Melba McDowell of Tarrant County has dedicated many |
|
hours of service to the Republican Party and she is indeed worthy of |
|
special recognition for her efforts; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native Texan, Ms. McDowell is an active member of |
|
the Tarrant County GOP; she has served as a delegate to the |
|
Republican district, state, and national conventions and as a |
|
member of the state Republican executive committee; she currently |
|
leads the Tarrant County Republican Assembly as a member of its |
|
board of directors; moreover, she has received the B. H. Carroll |
|
Award, which is sponsored by the Southwestern Baptist Theological |
|
Seminary; and |
|
WHEREAS, In her personal life, Ms. McDowell is a devoted |
|
wife, mother, and grandmother of two who is known for her keen |
|
fashion sense; and |
|
WHEREAS, Held in high regard by her friends and colleagues, |
|
Melba McDowell advocates for her beliefs and her active engagement |
|
in Tarrant County sets a high standard of community and political |
|
involvement; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Melba McDowell for her outstanding civic |
|
service and public-spirited activism and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. McDowell as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
