|  | R E S O L U T I O N | 
|  | WHEREAS, June 3, 2007, marks the 40th wedding anniversary of | 
|  | Janette and Richard Bowers of Horseshoe Bay, and this joyous event | 
|  | provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable | 
|  | journey together as husband and wife; and | 
|  | WHEREAS, In 1967, Mrs. Bowers arrived in Alpine with four | 
|  | young children, Connie, Clay, Cole, and Casey, to marry her high | 
|  | school sweetheart, Richard; the couple have since nurtured a close | 
|  | and fulfilling relationship that has been made even richer with the | 
|  | addition of two more children, Kelly and George, as well as 10 | 
|  | grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Colby, Colton, C. P., Vivian, Marshall, | 
|  | Stuart, Haley, and Sydney; and | 
|  | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Bowers is | 
|  | an attorney and Mrs. Bowers was an educator for some 30 years and | 
|  | has been a tireless volunteer for many worthy organizations; and | 
|  | WHEREAS, The four decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. | 
|  | Bowers have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love | 
|  | and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all | 
|  | who know them; now, therefore, be it | 
|  | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas | 
|  | Legislature hereby congratulate Richard and Janette Bowers on the | 
|  | joyous occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary and extend to | 
|  | them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it | 
|  | further | 
|  | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | 
|  | prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bowers as an expression of high regard by | 
|  | the Texas House of Representatives. |
