R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The December 2006 retirement of Jane Tableriou as |
|
the administrative assistant for County Judge John Doerfler brought |
|
to a close an outstanding career with Williamson County that |
|
spanned 22 years; and |
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Central Texas since the 1980s, Mrs. |
|
Tableriou began her career as a civil servant in the office of Judge |
|
Don Wilson, where she worked for six years before joining Judge |
|
Doerfler's staff; in more than two decades of remarkable service, |
|
Mrs. Tableriou provided indispensable assistance to these two |
|
county leaders; and |
|
WHEREAS, During her tenure, Williamson County and the city of |
|
Georgetown flourished as new residents and business enterprises |
|
joined the area, and the steadfast, community-focused service of |
|
Jane Tableriou and her colleagues played an important role in the |
|
county's efficient management of this dynamic growth; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, she enjoys the love and |
|
support of her husband, Nick, as well as that of her two children, |
|
Nicole and Brett; Mr. and Mrs. Tableriou enjoy traveling, |
|
especially on cruises, and they look forward to visiting new |
|
destinations during their retirement years; Mrs. Tableriou also |
|
plans to devote time to visiting her children, to scrapbooking, and |
|
to pursuing all the projects she's had to postpone, as well as to |
|
relishing the time-honored luxury reserved for retirees of doing |
|
whatever she pleases; and |
|
WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Mrs. Tableriou gave |
|
generously of her time and talents in behalf of her fellow citizens, |
|
and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Jane Tableriou for her years of service |
|
to Williamson County and extend to her best wishes for a happy and |
|
fulfilling retirement; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Tableriou as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
