| BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of | ||
| Texas, 80th Legislature, Regular Session, 2007, That House Rule 13, | ||
| Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, | ||
| Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to | ||
| resolve the differences on House Bill 2261 (regulation of certain | ||
| service contracts) to consider and take action on the following | ||
| matter: | ||
| House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(3), is suspended to permit the | ||
| committee to change the text of SECTION 1 of the bill by adding a new | ||
| Section 1304.003(d), Occupations Code, to read as follows: | ||
| (d) Subsection (c)(5) does not apply to tire damage covered | ||
| under an agreement sold by a tire manufacturer. | ||
| Explanation: The change is necessary to clarify how certain | ||
| service contracts apply to tire damage covered by a separate | ||
| agreement sold by a tire manufacturer. | ||
