R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of |
|
|
Texas, 80th Legislature, Regular Session, 2007, That House Rule 13, |
|
|
Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, |
|
|
Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to |
|
|
resolve the differences on House Bill 2261 (regulation of certain |
|
|
service contracts) to consider and take action on the following |
|
|
matter: |
|
|
House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(3), is suspended to permit the |
|
|
committee to change the text of SECTION 1 of the bill by adding a new |
|
|
Section 1304.003(d), Occupations Code, to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) Subsection (c)(5) does not apply to tire damage covered |
|
|
under an agreement sold by a tire manufacturer. |
|
|
Explanation: The change is necessary to clarify how certain |
|
|
service contracts apply to tire damage covered by a separate |
|
|
agreement sold by a tire manufacturer. |
