R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Legislative staffer Paige Bruton of Representative |
|
Rob Eissler's office is graduating with honors from The University |
|
of Texas School of Law on May 19, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born December 26, 1979, in Englewood, Colorado, to |
|
Randy and Carolyn Bruton, Ms. Bruton was raised in The Woodlands and |
|
had the "gift of gab" from an early age; and |
|
WHEREAS, Harnessing that talent for the greater good, she |
|
served as class president of The Woodlands High School in 1998 and |
|
also as secretary of the student council; moreover, she was |
|
nominated for Rotary Student of the Year and named by her peers as |
|
Best Class Leader; during the summers, Ms. Bruton was employed by |
|
Eissler and Associates in The Woodlands; and |
|
WHEREAS, Graduating from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a |
|
bachelor of science degree in psychology, Ms. Bruton worked as a |
|
legislative aid in the office of Representative Eissler during the |
|
78th Legislative Session and at other times as her schedule would |
|
allow; among a staff that bleeds orange, she has been the only |
|
Aggie, and her Longhorn colleagues would like to take full credit |
|
for cajoling her into attending law school at The University of |
|
Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, While at UT, this talented young woman was selected |
|
to serve as a member of the staff of the American Journal of |
|
Criminal Law, and she also gained significant experience by working |
|
for the Travis County District Attorney's Office and the Center for |
|
Public Policy Dispute Resolution; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her years of working for the legislature, |
|
Paige Bruton has taken on any and all tasks, no matter how |
|
challenging, with a smile on her face and a commitment to |
|
excellence; in doing so, she has earned the admiration and respect |
|
of all who know her, and it is a pleasure to wish her well as she |
|
prepares to begin the next exciting chapter of her life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paige Bruton on her graduation with |
|
honors from The University of Texas School of Law and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Bruton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
