R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Norman House has been selected for inclusion in
  the National Register of Historic Places; and
         WHEREAS, Located in eastern Williamson County, the Norman
  House was built in the early 20th century by M. B. "Mart" Norman,
  who settled in Texas in 1873; cited as an excellent example of a
  Late Victorian farmhouse with an asymmetrical plan, it sits on 26
  acres of contiguous farmland and is now in the care of Isaac "Jock"
  Norman, grandson of Mart Norman; and
         WHEREAS, The unique and colorful history of the Lone Star
  State is a vital part of our shared culture, and the preservation of
  the state's relics and historic sites is a cause deserving of
  highest praise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Isaac Norman on the inclusion of
  his house in the National Register of Historic Places and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Norman as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
