R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ray and Ida Massey of Irving celebrated their 60th |
|
wedding anniversary on April 22, 2007, and they may indeed reflect |
|
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ray Massey and the former Ida Tate exchanged the |
|
vows of matrimony in Van Alstyne on that special day in 1947, and |
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
caring life partner; and |
|
WHEREAS, They both retired in 1984, Mr. Massey after 20 years |
|
with Bell Helicopter and Mrs. Massey after more than 30 years with |
|
Rockwell International; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Massey count among their blessings a |
|
fine family that includes one daughter, Patsy Clark, two |
|
grandchildren, Laurie Hughes and Lesley Cain, and two |
|
great-grandchildren, Nickoles and Meilee, with whom they share the |
|
many special occasions of life; and |
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Ray and Ida Massey have brought to |
|
their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Ida Massey on their 60th |
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Massey as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
