R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ray and Ida Massey of Irving celebrated their 60th
  wedding anniversary on April 22, 2007, and they may indeed reflect
  with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and
         WHEREAS, Ray Massey and the former Ida Tate exchanged the
  vows of matrimony in Van Alstyne on that special day in 1947, and
  over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
  caring life partner; and
         WHEREAS, They both retired in 1984, Mr. Massey after 20 years
  with Bell Helicopter and Mrs. Massey after more than 30 years with
  Rockwell International; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Massey count among their blessings a
  fine family that includes one daughter, Patsy Clark, two
  grandchildren, Laurie Hughes and Lesley Cain, and two
  great-grandchildren, Nickoles and Meilee, with whom they share the
  many special occasions of life; and
         WHEREAS, For six decades, Ray and Ida Massey have brought to
  their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
  pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Ida Massey on their 60th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Massey as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
