R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Liz Rawls is retiring from the office of the Texas |
|
|
Comptroller of Public Accounts on May 23, 2007, bringing to a close |
|
|
an exceptional tenure with the State of Texas that has spanned 29 |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rawls joined the agency in 1978 and has |
|
|
provided able service to the divisions of Revenue Processing, |
|
|
Budget & Internal Accounting, Revenue Management, Account |
|
|
Maintenance, Property Tax, and Local Government Assistance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, this native Austinite |
|
|
enjoys the love and support of her husband, Bobby, her children, |
|
|
Natalie and Josh, and her grandchildren, Emilio, Natalia, and |
|
|
Alonzo; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Mrs. Rawls has served the |
|
|
Lone Star State with integrity and dedication; she has earned the |
|
|
lasting respect of all who have been privileged to work with her, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to recognize her on her outstanding career as |
|
|
she embarks on the next chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Liz Rawls on her retirement from |
|
|
the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Rawls as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
