R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Innovative businesses are the foundation of Texas
  prosperity, and in that spirit Derba Mills has introduced an
  ecologically friendly alternative to dry cleaning through her
  Clothesline Cleaners chain of stores in San Antonio; and
         WHEREAS, Most dry cleaning is performed using
  petroleum-based solvents, which require special handling and
  disposal; in her five Clothesline Cleaner shops, Ms. Mills offers
  an organic alternative method that uses a solvent based on
  collagen, banana oil, citrus oil, and other natural components; the
  byproducts of this cleaning process are biodegradable and do not
  need to be disposed of in hazardous waste facilities; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to offering an eco-friendly method of
  cleaning garments, the business contributes 30 jobs to the economy
  of San Antonio and provides a vision of a business that combines
  profitability with concern for the ecological well-being of the
  Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, The forward-thinking and creative approach of Ms.
  Mills stands in the finest tradition of Texas innovation and
  enterprise, and it is fitting to recognize her contribution to her
  profession and to her community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Derba Mills for combining
  entrepreneurial spirit with ecological concern in Clothesline
  Cleaners and extend to Ms. Mills and her staff best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Mills as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
