| WHEREAS, Ann Duffy is celebrating a significant milestone in | ||
| her life in May 2007 when she graduates from The University of Texas | ||
| at Austin with a bachelor's degree in psychology; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During the course of her college studies, Ms. Duffy | ||
| has also distinguished herself as a legislative intern in the | ||
| office of State Representative Jim Jackson; in that capacity, she | ||
| demonstrated her ability to work effectively and efficiently in a | ||
| demanding office environment; respected by her employer and | ||
| colleagues, she was entrusted with many diverse responsibilities | ||
| and became a valued member of the staff; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Jim and Kathleen | ||
| Duffy, Ann Duffy is an outstanding young Texan whose intelligence, | ||
| commitment, and diligence will surely continue to serve her well | ||
| throughout the coming years, and it is a pleasure to recognize her | ||
| as she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in her life; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Ann Duffy on her graduation from | ||
| The University of Texas at Austin and commend her for her exemplary | ||
| service as a legislative intern; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Duffy as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
