R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ann Duffy is celebrating a significant milestone in
  her life in May 2007 when she graduates from The University of Texas
  at Austin with a bachelor's degree in psychology; and
         WHEREAS, During the course of her college studies, Ms. Duffy
  has also distinguished herself as a legislative intern in the
  office of State Representative Jim Jackson; in that capacity, she
  demonstrated her ability to work effectively and efficiently in a
  demanding office environment; respected by her employer and
  colleagues, she was entrusted with many diverse responsibilities
  and became a valued member of the staff; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Jim and Kathleen
  Duffy, Ann Duffy is an outstanding young Texan whose intelligence,
  commitment, and diligence will surely continue to serve her well
  throughout the coming years, and it is a pleasure to recognize her
  as she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in her life;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ann Duffy on her graduation from
  The University of Texas at Austin and commend her for her exemplary
  service as a legislative intern; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Duffy as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
