R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ann Duffy is celebrating a significant milestone in |
|
her life in May 2007 when she graduates from The University of Texas |
|
at Austin with a bachelor's degree in psychology; and |
|
WHEREAS, During the course of her college studies, Ms. Duffy |
|
has also distinguished herself as a legislative intern in the |
|
office of State Representative Jim Jackson; in that capacity, she |
|
demonstrated her ability to work effectively and efficiently in a |
|
demanding office environment; respected by her employer and |
|
colleagues, she was entrusted with many diverse responsibilities |
|
and became a valued member of the staff; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Jim and Kathleen |
|
Duffy, Ann Duffy is an outstanding young Texan whose intelligence, |
|
commitment, and diligence will surely continue to serve her well |
|
throughout the coming years, and it is a pleasure to recognize her |
|
as she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in her life; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ann Duffy on her graduation from |
|
The University of Texas at Austin and commend her for her exemplary |
|
service as a legislative intern; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Duffy as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
