R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 80th Legislative Session, Victor Anthony |
|
|
Flores has ably served the citizens of District 40 as an intern in |
|
|
the district office of State Representative Aaron Pena; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Flores is a student at The University of |
|
|
Texas--Pan American, where he is majoring in political science and |
|
|
minoring in English; selected by L&F Distributors as a 2006-2007 |
|
|
HSF South Texas Endowment Scholar, he has also earned a place on the |
|
|
Dean's List for his superior grade point average; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his studies, Mr. Flores has worked as |
|
|
a community service specialist with the McAllen Police Department; |
|
|
moreover, he serves his country as a platoon sergeant with the U.S. |
|
|
Marine Corps Reserve Unit based in Harlingen; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This accomplished young man is a source of great |
|
|
pride to his parents, Jesse Mario Flores and Alma Belia Flores; a |
|
|
valued member of Harvest Church, he plans to attend law school after |
|
|
earning his bachelor's degree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Flores has performed his duties as a legislative |
|
|
intern with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Victor Anthony Flores for his service as |
|
|
a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Aaron |
|
|
Pena and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
