R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor vital to all Texans, and |
|
|
those individuals who devote themselves to the academic development |
|
|
of our young people are helping to ensure that the future of the |
|
|
Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Teaching requires character, commitment, and passion, and |
|
|
Amelia A. Vera of Roma Independent School District has demonstrated |
|
|
those qualities in abundance throughout her 29-year career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of our future |
|
|
leaders is an undertaking of paramount importance, and Ms. Vera |
|
|
embodies the spirit of service and dedication that are the |
|
|
hallmarks of a good teacher; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the walls |
|
|
of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and Amelia A. |
|
|
Vera has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love of |
|
|
learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Amelia A. Vera for her invaluable |
|
|
contributions to the students of Roma Independent School District |
|
|
and extend to her best wishes for continued success with her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |

|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for |
