R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Everyone who works in a school has a part to play in |
|
|
giving children a better start in life, and for 28 years, Maria |
|
|
Dalia Arellano has played a role in the daily lives of students at |
|
|
the Roma Independent School District A.S. Canavan Elementary as a |
|
|
Licensed Vocational Nurse; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Across the nation, nearly 3.5 million support |
|
|
professionals transport students to schools, keep campuses and |
|
|
facilities safe and clean, operate offices, serve nutritious meals, |
|
|
offer medical care, and provide instructional assistance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The work that these caring individuals perform is |
|
|
often overlooked, yet they make up more than 40 percent of the |
|
|
education workforce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated support personnel such as Maria Dalia |
|
|
Arellano help to create a school environment conducive to learning, |
|
|
doing their part to provide our state's young people with a strong |
|
|
foundation on which to build; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Maria Dalia Arellano for the outstanding |
|
|
service she provides to the students of Roma Independent School |
|
|
District and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Maria Dalia Arellano as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
