R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Lady Rebels tennis team of Lee College in |
|
Baytown won the National Junior College Athletic Association |
|
Division I championship on May 10, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Head coach Jason Haynes led the Lady Rebels to their |
|
second national championship, instilling in his team a commitment |
|
to excellence and a passion for winning; and |
|
WHEREAS, The talented squad, which set a school mark by going |
|
undefeated against junior college opponents, is poised for |
|
continued success, and the future is indeed bright for these |
|
dedicated student-athletes; and |
|
WHEREAS, With this significant victory, the Lady Rebels have |
|
earned the respect and admiration of their fellow students at Lee |
|
College, and the memory of this achievement will remain with them |
|
for many years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Coach Jason Haynes and the Lee |
|
College Lady Rebels tennis team on their national championship and |
|
extend best wishes to the team for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
