R E S O L U T I O N

traditions of family farming are an indispensable asset to the
people of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Robert Hahn and his wife, Jimmie, of McLennan County
are two such individuals, and their outstanding contributions as
family farmers have been justly recognized with the acceptance of
their agricultural operation, Bull Hide Creek Farms, into the Texas
Department of Agriculture Family Land Heritage Program; and
WHEREAS, Created to honor farms and ranches that have been in
continuous agricultural operation by the same family for a century
or more, the program draws welcome attention to the rich and vibrant
  history of Texas agriculture; and
WHEREAS, Bull Hide Creek Farms dates to 1902, when Emil Hahn
acquired 202.25 acres of land; his wife Auguste took over

profitable during the Great Depression; through the years, the

have carried on their family's significant legacy, and it is indeed
fitting to honor this worthwhile endeavor; now, therefore, be it
