R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A distinguished 21-year career spent in service to
  the United States of America is coming to a close as Master Sergeant
  Wesley Dean Waggoner retires from the U.S. Air Force; and
         WHEREAS, Born in San Benito in 1962 and raised in Lyford,
  Wesley Waggoner graduated from high school in 1981; that same year,
  he met his wife-to-be, Ernestina, in Raymondville; they were wed in
  1984, beginning a union that has extended for 23 years and created a
  close-knit family that includes three children, Wesley Dean,
  Johnathon, and Marina; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Waggoner was an oil field worker before joining
  the U.S. Air Force in 1986; during the course of his military
  service, he has been stationed in Illinois, New Mexico, Germany,
  South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, and he has proven his
  abilities in a range of assignments and steadily advanced through
  the ranks; in August 2005, he was promoted to master sergeant and
  became the noncommissioned officer in charge of mission operations
  for the 13th Intelligence Squadron at Beale Air Force Base in
  California, where he is concluding his tenure; and
         WHEREAS, During his career, Master Sergeant Waggoner has
  enhanced his skills by undertaking professional military
  education, completing noncommissioned officer prep school in
  November 1988, NCO leadership school in 1991, and NCO academy
  studies in 2001; he will receive his degree from the Community
  College of the Air Force in August 2007; and
         WHEREAS, This accomplished airman has earned a number of
  commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air
  Force Commendation Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Air
  Force Achievement Medal; and
         WHEREAS, An air force professional who has completed his duty
  with the utmost dedication, Master Sergeant Waggoner is also
  renowned for his patience and easygoing nature and for the caring
  support he provides to his family; as he looks forward to the next
  stage in his life, he may take great pride in his many achievements
  as a member of the U.S. Air Force and his notable contributions to
  the defense of this nation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Master Sergeant Wesley Dean
  Waggoner on his retirement from the U.S. Air Force and extend to him
  best wishes for happiness and success in his future endeavors; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Master Sergeant Waggoner as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
