R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Melba McDow of Tarrant County has dedicated many
  hours of service to the Republican Party, and she is indeed worthy
  of special recognition for her efforts; and
         WHEREAS, A native Texan, Ms. McDow is an active member of the
  Tarrant County GOP; she has served as a delegate to the Republican
  district, state, and national conventions and as a member of the
  state Republican executive committee; she currently leads the
  Tarrant County Republican Assembly as a member of its board of
  directors; moreover, she has received the B. H. Carroll Award,
  which is sponsored by the Southwestern Baptist Theological
  Seminary; and
         WHEREAS, In her personal life, Ms. McDow is a devoted wife,
  mother, and grandmother of two who is known for her keen fashion
  sense; and
         WHEREAS, Held in high regard by her friends and colleagues,
  Melba McDow advocates for her beliefs, and her active engagement in
  Tarrant County sets a high standard of community and political
  involvement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Melba McDow for her outstanding civic
  service and public-spirited activism and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. McDow as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
