R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Staff members of the Legislative Reference Library
  have provided vital services in behalf of the 80th Legislative
  Session; and
         WHEREAS, Housing a specialized collection of materials,
  including legislative bills dating back to the 63rd Session, books
  and reports, state documents, appointment records, and state and
  federal legal reference books, the LRL is well positioned to
  support the varied and extensive work of legislators; and
         WHEREAS, Among the services it offers are a bill status
  hotline for constituents, professional and confidential research,
  subject indexing of every bill and resolution, and a popular daily
  clipping service; the LRL also ensures the timely entry of data into
  the Legislative Information System, including committee referrals,
  actions, and reports, as well as each action taken on the floors of
  the house of representatives and senate; moreover, staff members
  are often available to answer questions well into the night, as the
  library remains open until both chambers have adjourned for the
  day; and
         WHEREAS, Under the able guidance of Director Mary Camp, the
  LRL staff includes librarians Scott Adair, Jane Bitter, Marsha
  Cerny, Penelope Dukes-Williams, Nancy Fisher, Melanie Harshman,
  Becky Johnson, Kay Schlueter, Ana Sifuentes-Martinez, Addy Sonder,
  Holly South, Carol Winship, Ia Wood, Catherine Wusterhausen,
  library assistants Logan Buchanan, Natasha Rogers, Adrienne
  Tramel, administration staff members Donald Brower, Katie Chaiken,
  Heidi Herndon, Michelle Martinez, Julia Walden, Rachel
  Wright-Stafford, clipping service staff members David Wood, Kathy
  Powell, Susan Floyd, and bill status staff members Christine
  Manson, Elizabeth Cross, Judy Foley, Renee England, Sandra
  Malarcher, and Wayne Decker; and
         WHEREAS, Working diligently behind the scenes, these
  dedicated professionals perform their duties with skill and
  dedication, and they are indeed deserving of special recognition;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the staff of the Legislative Reference
  Library for their significant contributions to the 80th Legislative
  Session; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Legislative Reference Library as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
