R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, After more than a decade of outstanding service to
  the City of Keller, Lyle H. Dresher is stepping down from his
  position as city manager on June 8, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Kansas, where he earned bachelor's and
  master's degrees in business administration at Emporia State
  University, Mr. Dresher assumed the duties of Keller city manager
  in July 1995 and has since worked tirelessly to address the needs of
  this thriving North Texas community; his extensive experience dates
  back more than 30 years and includes serving as assistant to the
  city manager of Emporia, Kansas, as city manager of three other
  Kansas cities, and as city manager of Gainesville; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Dresher has further distinguished himself
  through his involvement in numerous local organizations, including
  the boards of the Tarrant County United Way Northeast, the
  Northeast Leadership Forum, and the Greater Keller Chamber of
  Commerce; moreover, he served as president of the Keller Rotary
  Club and as chair of the Metroport Cities Partnership, as co-chair
  of the Texas City Management Association Legislative Task Force,
  and as a member of the TCMA Region 4 Ethics Task Force; and
         WHEREAS, Lyle Dresher has helped lead Keller into a new
  century, and his efforts to promote the well-being of area
  residents and his vision for a prosperous and productive future
  will continue to benefit countless Texans for years to come; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Lyle H. Dresher on his exemplary service
  to the City of Keller and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Dresher as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
