R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sammy Dee Lange was elected mayor of Quitman on May |
|
|
12, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, New to public office, Mr. Lange has lived in the |
|
|
Northeast Texas town for four years, during which time he has been |
|
|
involved in numerous community organizations, including the |
|
|
Quitman Rotary Club, the Quitman Masonic Lodge, the Quitman Order |
|
|
of the Eastern Star, and the Wood County Scottish Rite; moreover, he |
|
|
is a member of the Retired Officers Association and the Air Force |
|
|
Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sam Lange's vision and leadership will surely |
|
|
benefit his fellow citizens and the community as a whole, and his |
|
|
desire to serve others and work toward the greater good is most |
|
|
deserving of special praise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sammy Dee Lange on his election as |
|
|
mayor of Quitman and extend to him sincere best wishes for a |
|
|
productive and rewarding tenure in office; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mayor Lange as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
