R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The friends and family of U.S. Army Private First
  Class Joshua Romero of Fort Worth suffered an immeasurable loss
  with his death on May 18, 2007, at the age of 19; and
         WHEREAS, Private Romero was killed while bravely serving his
  country during combat operations in Iraq as a member of B Company,
  1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Division; and
         WHEREAS, A 2005 graduate of Crowley High School, Joshua
  Romero enlisted shortly after graduating; a loving son and brother
  to his eight siblings, he was especially devoted to his wife,
  Michelle, and their one-year-old son, Joshua David; described as a
  typical all-American young man, he enjoyed sports and rock music;
  and
         WHEREAS, Time can never diminish the profound debt that
  Americans owe to Private Romero for the service he undertook and the
  sacrifice he rendered, and the thoughts and prayers of many go out
  to the family of this beloved young Texan; he was a soldier of honor
  and valor, and those who were privileged to know him will forever
  carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Private
  First Class Joshua Romero and extend sincere sympathy to the
  members of his family: to his wife, Michelle Romero; to his son,
  Joshua David Romero; to his mother, Kimberlee Cummings; to his
  father and stepmother, Joe and Shellie Romero; to his siblings; and
  to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
  Private First Class Joshua Romero.
