R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Shaine Mata has provided indispensable support as an
  assistant clerk to the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence
  and Chairman Aaron Pena; and
         WHEREAS, During the 80th legislative session, Mr. Mata ably
  handled a number of diverse responsibilities for the committee
  while also serving as an aide in the office of Representative Pena;
  in addition to enhancing his knowledge of the legislative process
  and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained
  valuable work experience in the field of public service; and
         WHEREAS, This self-proclaimed computer geek is an avid
  blogger and podcaster; he enjoys membership in the San Antonio
  Podcasting group, with which he helped to organize PodCamp San
  Antonio, the first PodCamp in Texas; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Mata is supported by a
  loving family, including his wife, Alma, and his children, Tien
  Leigh and Magnus Alaric; and
         WHEREAS, The high degree of professionalism and
  conscientious efforts of Mr. Mata have contributed to the
  operations of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and he
  is truly deserving of praise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Shaine Mata for his service as assistant
  clerk of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and extend
  to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Mata as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
