R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Debra Beltran, of the Alice Independent School |
|
|
District, has been named the 2006-2007 Saenz Elementary School |
|
|
Teacher of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding second-grade teacher has always |
|
|
enjoyed being around children and remembers wanting to be a teacher |
|
|
ever since she was in the second grade; Ms. Beltran comes from a |
|
|
family who believed in the importance of a good education and who |
|
|
made schoolwork a top priority; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, When she was a student herself, Ms. Beltran would |
|
|
help her classmates whenever she could; now she sees the effect of |
|
|
her work in the daily progress her pupils make and in the success |
|
|
stories of those she has taught in the past, as well as when former |
|
|
students request that their own children be placed in her class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Held in the greatest esteem by her fellow educators, |
|
|
Debra Beltran excels in one of the most vital and challenging of |
|
|
professions, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition on |
|
|
the occasion of this prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Debra Beltran for the contributions she |
|
|
has made to her school and to Alice ISD and congratulate her on |
|
|
being named the 2006-2007 Saenz Elementary School Teacher of the |
|
|
Year; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Beltran as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
