R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Graciela Barrett of Memorial Intermediate School |
|
|
has been named the Secondary Teacher of the Year runner-up for the |
|
|
Alice Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognized for her ability to inspire in her |
|
|
students a love of learning, Ms. Barrett has set them on the path to |
|
|
a bright and rewarding future; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A certified bilingual teacher, she has demonstrated |
|
|
an unwavering commitment to education, helping individuals from a |
|
|
number of different cultural backgrounds achieve proficiency in |
|
|
English; she is also a certified driver education and driving |
|
|
safety instructor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Barrett's hard work and dedication to her |
|
|
profession have earned her the lasting respect and admiration of |
|
|
her students and colleagues, and it is a pleasure to recognize her |
|
|
at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Graciela Barrett on being named the |
|
|
Secondary Teacher of the Year runner-up for the Alice Independent |
|
|
School District and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Barrett as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
