R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carlos De La Garza has been named the 2006-2007 |
|
|
Secondary Teacher of the Year of the Alice Independent School |
|
|
District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&I University, Mr. De La Garza |
|
|
teaches algebra and physics at Alice High School; he has further |
|
|
distinguished himself by developing curricula for two districts and |
|
|
his educational service center, mentoring incoming and prospective |
|
|
teachers, helping to implement his school's Outcome-Based |
|
|
Instruction system, teaching continuing education classes, and |
|
|
coaching a district-winning number sense team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. De La Garza has demonstrated an unwavering |
|
|
commitment to academic achievement, and his hard work and |
|
|
dedication to excellence have earned him the lasting respect and |
|
|
admiration of his students and colleagues alike; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carlos De La Garza on being named |
|
|
the 2006-2007 Secondary Teacher of the Year of the Alice |
|
|
Independent School District and extend to him best wishes for |
|
|
continued success with his important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. De La Garza as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
