| WHEREAS, The 80th Legislature is the fourth session of the | ||
| Social Work Internship Program, which is administered by the | ||
| Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This exceptional program provides a unique | ||
| opportunity for students of the University of Houston's Graduate | ||
| College of Social Work to serve as legislative interns for members | ||
| within the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Texas | ||
| Legislature; and | ||
| WHEREAS, As legislative interns, students of the University | ||
| of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work give of their time and | ||
| talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature and | ||
| are truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The interns selected for the 80th Legislative | ||
| Session by Dr. Ira Colby, dean and professor of the Graduate College | ||
| of Social Work, are Dawn Choate, serving in the office of | ||
| Representative Garnet F. Coleman; Lillian Ortiz, serving in the | ||
| office of Representative Jessica Farrar; Benjamin Pratt, serving | ||
| in the office of Senator Mario Gallegos, Jr.; and Jose Romero, | ||
| serving in the office of Representative Lon Burnam; now, therefore, | ||
| be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor the legislative interns for their | ||
| outstanding efforts and invaluable service; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Choate, Ms. Ortiz, Mr. Pratt, and Mr. Romero as an | ||
| expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
