R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with treasured times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of |
|
Lilly Moore Davis, who died in Austin on May 1, 2007, at the age of |
|
89; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Davis was truly a blessing to her family and |
|
friends, who will fondly recall the ready smile she had for all she |
|
met; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted member of Roane Church of Christ, she was a |
|
friend to many and enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, and ceramics; and |
|
WHEREAS, Held in the highest regard for her graciousness and |
|
her love of life, Lilly Davis will always be remembered with great |
|
tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lilly Moore Davis and |
|
extend sympathy to the members of her family: to her son, David |
|
Davis, and his wife, Salee; to her brothers, Houston "Doc" Moore, |
|
and his wife, Mildred, Starl Moore, and his wife, Joann, and Arnold |
|
Moore; to her sisters, Carrye Patton and Beulah Clower; to her four |
|
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lilly Moore |
|
Davis. |
