A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to a claim for reimbursement in a suit to dissolve a
  marriage.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 3.408, Family Code, is amended by adding
  Subsection (e) to read as follows:
         (e)  The party seeking an offset to a claim for reimbursement
  has the burden of proof with respect to the offset.
         SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies only
  to a suit for dissolution of a marriage pending before a trial court
  on or filed on or after the effective date of this Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
