A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the authority of a school district board of trustees to create a criminal offense for violation of a district policy.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Subsection (c), Section 37.102, Education Code, is repealed.

SECTION 2. The heading to Section 37.102, Education Code, is amended to read as follows:

Sec. 37.102. RULES[; PENALTY].

SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
