A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to exemptions from certain fees for government vessels and
  outboard motors.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter B-1, Chapter 31, Parks and Wildlife
  Code, is amended by adding Section 31.056 to read as follows:
         Sec. 31.056.  FEE EXEMPTION FOR GOVERNMENT VESSELS AND
  OUTBOARD MOTORS. A fee imposed by this chapter does not apply to a
  vessel or outboard motor purchased by, owned by, or used
  exclusively in the service of this state, a political subdivision
  of this state, or the federal government.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
