A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
| |
|
|
relating to the availability of online information relating to |
|
|
research-based programs and best practices regarding the |
|
|
instruction of students with autism and autism-related disorders in |
|
|
public schools. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 7.009, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The online clearinghouse established under this section |
|
|
must include information relating to research-based programs and |
|
|
best practices of campuses and school districts regarding the |
|
|
instruction of students with autism and autism-related disorders. |
|
|
The agency shall facilitate any necessary technical assistance to a |
|
|
school district in implementing a research-based program described |
|
|
by this subsection. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
