A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to rules governing instant games by the Texas Lottery |
|
|
Commission. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 466.015, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The commission shall adopt rules governing instant |
|
|
games that: |
|
|
(1) close instant games after all top prizes in the |
|
|
game have been claimed or on an earlier date as determined by the |
|
|
executive director; and |
|
|
(2) provide procedures for the timely closing of an |
|
|
instant game that end the sale of instant game tickets beyond the |
|
|
46th day after a game has been closed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
