A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to rules governing instant games by the Texas Lottery
  Commission.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 466.015, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
         (e)  The commission shall adopt rules governing instant
  games that:
               (1)  close instant games after all top prizes in the
  game have been claimed or on an earlier date as determined by the
  executive director; and
               (2)  provide procedures for the timely closing of an
  instant game that end the sale of instant game tickets beyond the
  46th day after a game has been closed.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
