A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|

|
|
relating to the compounding of a drug or device by a pharmacist. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 554, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 554.056 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 554.056. RULEMAKING; ADDITION OF FLAVORING TO |
|
|
COMMERCIAL PRODUCT. The board may adopt rules governing the |
|
|
procedures for a pharmacist, as part of compounding, to add |
|
|
flavoring to a commercial product at the request of a patient or a |
|
|
patient's agent. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
