A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the compensation paid to a statutory county court judge |
|
|
in Gregg County. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 25.0942(d), Government Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The judge of a county court at law shall be paid an |
|
|
annual salary that is not less than $1,000 less than [does not
|
|
|
exceed the amount that is 90 percent of] the total annual salary |
|
|
received by a district judge in the county. The salary may not be |
|
|
more than the total annual salary received by a district judge in |
|
|
the county. The salary may be paid in equal monthly installments. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect October 1, 2007. |
