SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Legislature of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of McAllen and Henderson and members of the United States
  Customs and Border Protection agency in mourning the loss of Air
  Interdiction Agent Clinton Brady Thrasher, who died April 25, 2007,
  at the age of 32; and
         WHEREAS, Agent Clinton Thrasher was a United States Customs
  and Border Protection Air and Marine pilot with the McAllen Air
  Unit, Rio Grande Valley Sector, of the Department of Homeland
  Security; he died while providing air support to border patrol
  agents who were conducting ground operations; and
         WHEREAS, Clinton was born in Henderson, Texas, on February 9,
  1975; he was a graduate of Henderson High School and earned a degree
  in aviation from Louisiana Tech University; and
         WHEREAS, He began his career with the federal government in
  1997 as a member of Class 342 of the Border Patrol Academy; his
  first assignment was as a border patrol agent in Rio Grande City;
  and
         WHEREAS, He became a pilot with the United States Customs and
  Border Protection Air and Marine in 2003 and was assigned first to
  the Caribbean Air Branch in Puerto Rico; he transferred to McAllen
  in August of 2006; and
         WHEREAS, Clinton was a high achiever who was noted for his
  kindness and concern for others and was admired and respected by his
  colleagues; his death is a stark reminder of the dangers faced by
  those who protect this country's citizens and secure its borders;
  and
         WHEREAS, Clinton was a successful young man with an engaging
  sense of humor and was devoted to his family, and he will long be
  remembered with affection and appreciation by all who were
  privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Clinton
  Brady Thrasher:  his wife, Rachelle Thrasher; his daughters,
  Addalyn and AnnMarie; his parents, Charles and Jane Thrasher; his
  brother, Brent Thrasher; and his grandmothers, Sarah Brady and
  Josephine Thrasher; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the
  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Legislature and that when the legislature adjourns this day,
  it do so in memory of Clinton Brady Thrasher.
