SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
  WHEREAS, The passing of Allie Pearl Haney of Roscoe on April
  29, 2007, at the age of 84, has deeply saddened the family and
  friends of this beloved woman; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Burleson on October 7, 1922, Mrs. Haney was a
  graduate of Roscoe High School; she married William Garland Haney
  on October 4, 1942, and the couple were blessed with three children;
  they owned and operated Haney Drug and Haney Jewelry in Roscoe and
  shared some 46 years together, until Mr. Haney's death in 1988; and
         WHEREAS, A member of the First United Methodist Church of
  Roscoe, where she taught Sunday school for many years, Allie Pearl
  Haney will be remembered by her family as their "One True Pearl";
  she was a friend to all and will be profoundly missed by all those
  who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 80th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the life of Allie Pearl Haney and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of her family:  to her daughters,
  Peggy Sue Parrot and her husband, Henry Don, and Jackie Hackfeld and
  her husband, Keith; to her son, Bill Haney and his wife, Nita; to
  her sister, Peggy Richburg and her husband, Charles; to her
  brother, Buster Dunn and his wife, Wanda; to her eight
  grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and to her other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate and House of
  Representatives adjourn this day, they do so in memory of Allie
  Pearl Haney.
