SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 6

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Houston in congratulating Andrew George Trevino of Boy Scout Troop 1138 in Houston, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only five out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and

WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, Andrew advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes to Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Andrew demonstrated his leadership skills by completing a service project that has benefited his community; and

WHEREAS, By earning the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine young man brings honor to himself, his family, and his community; he is an exemplary role model for his fellow Scouts and for the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Andrew George Trevino on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Trevino as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. Ellis
