SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Riley Orloff, a senior on the 2006 Westlake High
School varsity football team, who was recently named Academic
All-District and first team Academic All-State; and
       WHEREAS, An honorable mention All-District wide receiver
on the Westlake Chaparrals Class 5A state finalist football team,
Riley is also an industrious student who is preparing to face the
many challenges of the future; and
       WHEREAS, The Westlake High School football program is a
perennial state playoff participant, and the school is a part of
the Eanes Independent School District, which is known for its
rigorous academic standards; the school is proud of its tradition
of the combination of athletic and academic excellence; and
       WHEREAS, Riley exemplifies the best of Westlake High
School's educational standards, and it is truly fitting that he
receive legislative recognition for his hard work and dedication
as a student and an athlete; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend Riley Orloff for his commitment
to scholastic excellence and extend congratulations to him on an
outstanding football season; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
