SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 204
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Many years ago, Carolyn Lee and George Kenneth Crocker |
|
|
made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their mutual trust |
|
|
has been amply rewarded, as they are now celebrating their 30th |
|
|
wedding anniversary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, George and Carolyn met in Fulda, Germany; |
|
|
following an intercontinental courtship, they were married on |
|
|
February 12, 1977, in Morgantown, West Virginia; over the years, |
|
|
they have lived in various states in our country and in Germany; |
|
|
they have been residents of Austin for the last 12 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, George retired from the United States Army as a |
|
|
lieutenant colonel after 20 years of service; he is presently |
|
|
senior vice president and chief operating officer for Arbor |
|
|
Education and Training; Carolyn was a school teacher; she devotes |
|
|
her time now to homemaking and volunteering in the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the |
|
|
years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Crocker have cherished |
|
|
traditional family and moral values; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a wonderful family; |
|
|
their son and daughter-in-law, Trevor Parker Carden Crocker |
|
|
and Ashley Harman Crocker, their daughter and son-in-law, |
|
|
Tomee Morgan Heining and Jon Roane Heining, and their grandchildren, |
|
|
Trevor, Luke, and Catherine Crocker, are a source of much pride |
|
|
and joy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The long and happy union of this couple is truly |
|
|
an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. George Kenneth Crocker |
|
|
on their 30th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
them as a memento of this special occasion. |
