SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 258
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Louis Charles "Chuck" Kalkbrenner on the grand
occasion of his 50th birthday; and
       WHEREAS, Chuck was born February 16, 1957, in Beaumont; he
graduated from Forest Park High School and earned a bachelor's
degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University;
and
       WHEREAS, He married Tanya Eidom in 1981, and their two
daughters, Kate and Claire, are the joy of his life; and
       WHEREAS, Regional manager of external affairs for AT&T,
Chuck has been with the phone company for 29 years, beginning
with his service as a drafting clerk with Southwestern Bell
Corporation; and
       WHEREAS, An active leader in his community, Chuck is a
member of the Young Men's Business League, Leadership Southeast
Texas, the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and
Masonic Lodge 1165; he is an enthusiastic motorcyclist and an
honorary member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle
Club; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to
Louis Charles Kalkbrenner on his 50th birthday; and, be it
further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as a memento of this special day.
