SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 280
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in |
|
|
joining the residents of Mansfield and the members of the |
|
|
Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce in proclaiming February 20, 2007, |
|
|
Mansfield Day at the State Capitol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Located in the southeast corner of Tarrant County |
|
|
in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Mansfield is one of the |
|
|
fastest-growing cities in the area; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The City of Mansfield is flourishing economically |
|
|
and owes much of its stability to the leadership provided by the |
|
|
Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce; the chamber represents more |
|
|
than 650 business organizations throughout the Mansfield area; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce brings |
|
|
together businesses to gather support for public policy initiatives |
|
|
that are in their best interest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Noted for its many contributions to the overall |
|
|
quality of life in Mansfield, the Mansfield Area Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce builds productive partnerships between the business |
|
|
community and local, state, and federal governments to provide |
|
|
for positive growth in business development; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Mansfield Area Chamber |
|
|
of Commerce have greatly influenced the economic growth and |
|
|
vitality of Mansfield, and the residents of Mansfield have taken |
|
|
care to preserve the city's many amenities in the face of growth |
|
|
and economic development; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
|
80th Legislature, hereby commend the Mansfield residents and |
|
|
the members of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce on their |
|
|
achievements and their contributions to our state and extend best |
|
|
wishes to them for a joyous Mansfield Day at the State Capitol; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
the residents of Mansfield and the Mansfield Area Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
