SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 284
 
  In Memory
  of
  Sylvia Anita Diaz
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors
  and commemorates the life of Sylvia Anita Diaz, who died
  January 24, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Sylvia Diaz enriched the lives of all who knew
  her through her warmth and kindness and her enthusiasm and
  vitality; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Sylvia was known for her love
  and laughter and her ability to make others feel special and to
  help them through difficult times; she was a devout Christian
  and a member of the Catholic faith; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and generosity, she
  gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, dauntless spirit, and
  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and
         WHEREAS, Sylvia was a devoted wife and mother, and she will
  long be remembered with affection and admiration by all who were
  privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Sylvia Anita Diaz: her loving husband, Daniel P. Diaz;
  her daughters, Elisabeth and Yvette Diaz; her sister, Lillian Guerra;
  and her brother, Agustin Lopez; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Sylvia Anita Diaz.
