Maria Aguilar Garcia |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens |
|
of El Paso in mourning the loss of Maria Aguilar Garcia, who died |
|
January 25, 2007, at the age of 100; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born January 4, 1907, in Zacatecas, Mexico, |
|
Mrs. Garcia enriched all who knew her with her love and |
|
compassion, her warmth and kindness, and her enthusiasm and |
|
vitality; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia will be remembered for her |
|
graciousness, her dignity, and her dauntless spirit; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and generosity, |
|
she gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, openness, and |
|
valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|
WHEREAS, She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she |
|
leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by her |
|
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|
80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the |
|
bereaved family of Maria Aguilar Garcia: her daughter and |
|
son-in-law, Lupita and Ray Vijil; her grandchildren, |
|
Dolores Elizabeth, David Anthony, and John Raymond; her |
|
great-grandchildren, Anita, Edward, David, Eric, Anna Alyssa, |
|
and Camille; her great-great-grandchild, Izaiah; and her |
|
sisters, Socorro A. Cruz and Belen A. Chavez; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
the members of her family as an expression of esteem from the |
|
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do |
|
so in memory of Maria Aguilar Garcia. |
