SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 351
       WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Charlotte Sievers, who is retiring on February 28, 2007,
after more than 23 years of loyal service to the State of Texas;
and
       WHEREAS, Charlotte began her career with the state at the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in the Information and
Education Division; she went on to serve as a proctor with the
Board of Engineer Examiners and also worked as a processor of
disability applications at the Texas Rehabilitation Commission;
and
       WHEREAS, After a short hiatus as a stay-at-home mother,
Charlotte began working at the Employees Retirement System,
where she remained for nine years, helping customers in the
health maintenance organization section; she then took that
wealth of knowledge to the Teachers Retirement System; and
       WHEREAS, Charlotte joined the comptroller's office as an
administrative technician, and she helped the Information
Technology Division with all its administrative needs, including
training, e-mail updates, and all the functions that kept the
division in first-rate working order; and
       WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Charlotte is admired and
respected by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of
the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
80th Legislature, hereby commend Charlotte Sievers for her
exceptional service to the Office of the Comptroller of Public
Accounts and her many contributions to our state and extend to
her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it
further
       RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
