SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 428
 
  In Memory
  of
  Susan Marie Calvey
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
  of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Susan Marie Calvey, who died
  February 14, 2007, at the age of 22; and
         WHEREAS, Susan was born during a snowfall on December 31, 1984;
  she attended Saint Paul's Catholic School before graduating to
  Incarnate Word High School; and
         WHEREAS, She attended the University of the Incarnate Word
  for one year before transferring to Texas A&M University; she
  became deeply involved in many activities at the university and
  she served as president of Aggies for Life; and
         WHEREAS, Susan enthusiastically participated in the Aggie
  experience and its rich traditions; and
         WHEREAS, Susan was a devout Christian who practiced her
  faith in her daily life; she profoundly valued family life and
  loved her own family deeply; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she
  was an inspiration to others, and although she will be missed by
  her family and friends, her spirit will abide in their hearts for
  years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  80th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Susan Marie Calvey: her husband, Andrew Martin; her
  mother, Hope Calvey; her father and stepmother, Joseph J. Calvey, Sr.,
  and Angie Calvey; her sisters and brother-in-law, Laura Calvey and
  Annalisa Harding and Jim Harding; and her brother, Joseph J. Calvey II;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Susan Marie Calvey.
